Glycolic Acid 10% Moisturiser 50ml

£13.09

Glycolic Acid 10% Moisturiser is an effective, Vegan friendly treatment for dry, mature and problem skin. It has a content of 10% Glycolic Acid which has been partially neutralised and has a PH of 4.5. Exfoliating yet nourishing, it is recommended for these skin types for day and evening use and is ideal for spotty skins that can become a little dry when using gels or oil free based lotions.

This is an excellent product to help with ageing skin, not only will the skin be nourished by the high content of Aloe Vera and Safflower oil, the glycolic acid helps to exfoliate leaving your skin looking fresher and younger, refining the skin to reduce fine lines, enlarged pores, wrinkles and age spots. This luxurious formula will give you a radiant and youthful flow.

Suitable for dry skin types, if you have sensitive skin we recommend you do a patch test.

How does it work?

Alpha-hydroxy acids perform at the base of the stratum corneum, dissolving the ‘glue’ that holds dead skin cells together. Because this increases cell turnover, skin becomes smoother, more elastic and more even in tone and texture.

At the same time Glycolic Acid also stimulates your skin to produce more collagen. Collagen is the main structural protein of the skin and keeps it elastic and line free; when this starts to disintegrate, skin begins to sag and wrinkle. Replacing the collagen your skin has lost with age can help diminish crow’s feet around the eyes, frown lines, and vertical lines around the lips.

The Glycolic Acid in this product has been partially neutralised, this means that the glycolic acid is released over a period of time and is less irritating than glycolic acid that hasn't been partially neutralised, giving you the same results without the side effects.

Skincare tips

When using any product containing glycolic acid you must use a moisturiser with a SPF of at least 15 during the day, if you plan on sunbathing or visiting a hot climate use a minimum factor 25.

Apply a small amount of moisturiser using gentle, upwards strokes over the face and neck twice a day after cleansing and toning.

Before you buy We do not recommend acids if you're pregnant/breastfeeding. If you are undergoing any kind of intense beauty treatment (microdermabrasion, glycolic acid treatment, laser therapy etc) consult your therapist before purchase. If you have any broken veins/capillaries we recommend avoiding these areas. If you're on medication which increases the skins sensitivity or causes severe dryness we do not recommend acid based products during treatment and for 12 months after your course has been completed. People who commonly have cold sores may find that chemical peels can cause an outbreak of cold sores and may want to take their medication before use or avoid use altogether, do not apply acid products to your skin while you have an active cold sore.

I’ve only been using Glycolic acid 10% moisturiser now for a week every day and have already noticed a huge diffference to my skin. I’ve also been using glycolic acid 10% peel and salicylic acid 2% peel alternating them both every other day. I’ve just purchased the cleaner and toner now since I love the results of the products and hoping for even better results.

Even after a few days of using this my skin looks so much brighter, fresher and smoother. It sinks in well considering it's butter like texture, doesn't sting and I've used it round eye area with no issues. My skin looks so much clearer. I have combination skin prone to breakouts.

I had been using a Retin-A moisturiser but swapped over to Bravura when moving to UK. The product is great and since using it I have noticed that the lines around my eyes have diminished and my skin has not showed any real visible signs of ageing in the 4 years I've been using it. Salon quality product and excellent value for money. The only downside I found was that it is quite a thick moisturiser so I apply it immediately after toning when skin is still damp and use a SPF moisturiser over the top for additional coverage. Would thoroughly recommend it, thanks Amanda for producing such a fab product.

I have awful skin, dry patches and frequent breakouts. This is the only moisturiser I have found that keeps both problems in check. My must have product!!

I'm in my 30's and still get spots! Not just that but now that I'm getting older, I'm worried about ageing too. Most products for spotty skin are too harsh and drying for my normal to dry skin. This moisturiser is perfect, it's thick so I use it at night but it's really nourishing, not only have my breakouts reduced by about half in 3 weeks, the marks they leave behind are almost gone, some marks have been there for about 3 months. My skin is also glowing, it looks so healthy and I'm almost positive the lines on my forehead have reduced. I don't think I've ever used a moisturiser that's done so much for my skin.

This new formula is just too thick and I find it really heavy on my face. The old one went on like a dream. The product still works, but I'm not sure I'll repurchase.

This moisturiser is OK. It tended to sit on my skin so I was unable to apply make up on top. It didn't even leave my skin hydrated. As the summary says... Nothing to write home about...
