Glycolic Acid 10% Moisturiser

This moisturiser combines glycolic acid with hydrating and barrier-supporting ingredients to help improve skin texture while maintaining comfort and hydration.

Glycolic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that gently exfoliates by helping to loosen the bonds between dead skin cells on the surface. Unlike a leave-on peel or concentrated serum, the level and formulation in this moisturiser are balanced with humectants and soothing components so exfoliation occurs gently as part of your daily routine.

By supporting the natural shedding of dead skin cells, glycolic acid can help:

At the same time, ingredients such as aloe vera, glycerin and niacinamide help maintain hydration and comfort. These ingredients support the skin barrier, help skin retain moisture and help skin feel soft and supple despite the presence of glycolic acid.

Begin by applying 2–3 times per week, gradually increasing frequency as skin tolerance allows.

Apply a small amount to clean, dry skin.
Avoid the eye area.
Always use SPF the following morning.

Apply a small amount of moisturiser in the evening using gentle, upwards strokes over the face and neck once a day after cleansing and toning.

When using any product containing glycolic acid you must use broad spectrum sun protection with a SPF of at least 30 but ideally 50 during the day.

This moisturiser is best suited to normal, combination and resilient skin types looking to improve skin texture, brightness and overall clarity. Those new to glycolic acid should introduce it gradually.

Is this a peel or an exfoliating treatment?

This is not a peel, but it is an effective exfoliating treatment in moisturiser form.

It contains 10% glycolic acid, supported by hydrating and barrier-supporting ingredients. Compared to a glycolic acid peel, the exfoliation is buffered by the moisturising base, meaning the skin receives both exfoliation and hydration at the same time.

This helps reduce the “hit” of acid compared to a peel, while still delivering meaningful exfoliating benefits. It’s a good option for those who want to exfoliate regularly while maintaining skin comfort.

How often should I use this moisturiser?

Begin by using it 2–3 evenings per week, then increase frequency as your skin builds tolerance. Some people may use it more regularly, while others prefer less frequent use.

Can I use this during the day?

This moisturiser is best used in the evening. If used during the day, daily SPF is essential, as glycolic acid can increase sun sensitivity.

Is this suitable for sensitive skin?

This product is not recommended for very sensitive or compromised skin. If your skin is reactive, consider starting with a lower-strength exfoliating product or patch testing before use.

Can I use this with other exfoliating acids?

Avoid using this moisturiser at the same time as other exfoliating acids or retinoids. On alternate evenings, pair it with a gentle, non-exfoliating moisturiser to support the skin barrier.

Can I use this with a glycolic or salicylic acid peel?

Yes, but not on the same evening. This moisturiser can be used on non-peel days to help maintain skin smoothness between exfoliating treatments.

Will this dry out my skin?

The formula includes aloe vera, hyaluronic acid and barrier-supporting ingredients to help maintain hydration. If dryness occurs, reduce frequency and ensure your skin is well moisturised on non-use days.

Is this suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
